First, here is an example of a 1 solution to this challenge.

Now here is an example of a 3 Star Solution

As you can see, the simplest solution is often the best one. Usually, the best way to add additional stars to your solution is to remove parts. See if you can find a way to accomplish the same thing by using less parts.

yes, but I noticed it's not just as little parts as possible but also which part you use. looks like parts that do something or burn score better than parts that just fall to the ground, like a ball or so

Yes, that's true! Parts that perform an action score better than static parts such as a board or a ball. Also using a variety of different parts, instead of using the same items multiple times, can also boost your score (and your stars).
